This weekend I’ll be celebrating in the lovely city of Hoboken, NJ! Ever since I went to college, it has been one of my all time favorite holidays. To quote Mean Girls “Halloween is the one day a year when a girl can dress up like a total slut and no other girls can say anything else about it.” But really though! Going to a huge party school for undergrad, I have been to my fair share of halloween parties and it is totally true. No matter what, no one ever says anything bad about a girl for the way she is dressed on halloween (this is honestly how the real world should be but well save that for another post). In the past I have dressed up as a Cop, a Race Car Driver, a Football Player, an Army Brat, a Sailor, a Cheetah, and more. I cannot begin to tell you how many things I have dressed up for since at WVU you dress up Friday and Saturday, and sometimes Thursday depending on where halloween falls. Now that I am in the real world, the halloween party scene has decreased by number of days, but the parties are always ten times bigger and better. No more Friday dress up, which saves me money and time deciding what I want to be. Instead there are huge blow outs and lines down the block on Saturday night.
I am so excited to dress up! Especially since one of my best friends is coming. We have spent many halloweens together (all 4 in college and this weekend will make 2 since graduating) and always have a great time. We are basically the Snooki and Jwwow of our friend group with the craziness that happens when we are together. She hasn’t told me what she is going to be yet so I am super excited to see. I, on the other hand, just really want to be a deer!!! I don’t really know why, but I think it’s because of the deer filters on snapchat. Those filters make my eyes look amazing! I found this really comfy looking costume that I totally wanted, but when I saw the price it was not worth it. I mean really $60 for a zip-up sweatshirt type deer dress is not going to cut it with me. So instead I decided to go to the DIY section of the store and pick and choose my own. I got a cute skater style dress in brown (could have found a better one, but I really don’t have the time to look since the parties are all tomorrow), a deer tail, and deer antlers. So much cheaper and hotter then the comfy costume. The only thing I am still debating on is how to do my makeup… Obviously this was a question for Pinterest, but I need to ask for your help!
